Bruichladdich 10 Years Old Skool - 50%

Product information "Bruichladdich 10 Years Old Skool - 50%"

Bruichladdich Old Skool celebrates 25 years of whisky making with a focus on Islay.

“When our founders reopened the distillery in 2001, they set out to create a more authentic, progressive, and transparent vision for the industry. They believed in terroir, championed flavor, and embraced the whisky’s raw ingredients—all while ensuring that Islay and the local island community remained at the heart of every decision they made. Distilled from 100% Islay barley, Bruichladdich Old Skool is a tribute to this unwavering commitment. For over two decades, we have worked directly with local farmers to grow and harvest our barley on Islay. Beyond flavor, exceptional provenance, and traceability, collaborating with our local farmers allows us to support our vital agricultural community and create value that extends far beyond the distillery gates.”

This 10-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a true tribute to its island home. Bottled at 50% ABV and matured primarily in Bourbon casks (95%) with a small proportion of first-fill Sauternes casks (5%), this is Bruichladdich at its best.

Notes:
Nose: A vibrant bouquet of ripe stone fruits opens on the nose, featuring apricot, nectarine, and red plum. Creamy vanilla custard and barley sugar are complemented by delicate notes of orange blossom and fresh geranium leaves, while a gentle, salty sea breeze adds a touch of coastal freshness.
Taste: The palate is balanced and viscous, with juicy stone fruits adding a bright citrus note. Layers of soft barley sugar, stewed pear, and ripe apple come to the fore, while high-quality oak contributes notes of creamy coconut and caramelized vanilla custard. Warming clove and ginger provide a gentle spice, while toasted almonds, golden sugar, and a hint of minerality lend depth, complexity, and structure to the whisky.

Octomore 17.2 - 59,5%, Single Malt from Islay, Scotland
Octomore 17.2 - 59,5%

Octomore 17.2Octomore 17.2 is the second step in the Seventeen Series and relies on a double wood maturation. The intense smokiness of the malt meets fruity and spicy notes from the cask maturation: strawberry, blackberry and blackcurrant combine with steadily building peat smoke. Pepper and earthy aromas are brightened by lemon zest and lime oil. The influence of port intensifies the fruit and spice without pushing the barley and peat into the background. The result is a rich, lively and harmoniously composed Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Octomore 17.3 - 60,9%, Single Malt from Islay, Scotland
Octomore 17.3 - 60,9%

Octomore 17.3Octomore 17.3 puts barley, provenance and a sense of place at the centre. This spirit-led bottling combines powerful peat with elegance and nuance. Sweet first fill oak shows itself in salted caramel, smoked apple and toasted coconut. Praline and vanilla cream join in. Deeply charred peat settles over the palate as dry, ashy smoke, while citrus oils and saltiness provide clarity. Over time, spirit, cask and grain come together in a dram that is both powerful and balanced. Phenol level: 132,1 PPM Barley origin: Grown exclusively on a single field of Octomore Farm on Islay Cask maturation: Cuvée of first fill bourbon casks and second fill casks from Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, ice wine and Syrah
