Laphroaig Quarter Cask - 48,0%
Laphroaig means as much as 'valley at the big white bay' and was founded by Donald and Alex Johnston in 1826. It is located at the southern shore of Islay. The whisky is famous for its smokey-phenolic, iodine-containing and salty character. Laphroaig has its own peat fields - which can be reached by the shortest railway of the world – and also has own malting floors.

Product information "Laphroaig Quarter Cask - 48,0%"
Islay’s climate has barely left its mark on this bottling; it’s too young for that. And the few months in the small quarter casks do their part: The monster that Laphroaig can be transforms into a relatively tame, slow-moving malt that flexes its certainly existing muscles very restrainedly. Beautifully smoky and a good companion for a cold winter afternoon by the fire.
