The roots of this classic stretch deep into the history of the Charente region, where Jas Hennessy & Co. has been perfecting the art of selecting the finest eaux-de-vie for centuries. For the V.S. (Very Special), only characterful distillates made from grapes are blended, having been aged for several years in French oak barrels. This careful aging gives the cognac its distinctive structure and warm, amber luster, which is particularly elegantly showcased in the clear bottle with its gold-embellished grapevine motif.
On the nose, an inviting bouquet unfolds, characterized by toasted almonds, warm toast, and the gentle sweetness of brown sugar. On the palate, a creamy texture unfolds, with juicy peach flavors harmoniously blending with notes of vanilla and caramel. Subtle hints of grapes and fruity raisins round out the flavor profile before this cognac fades into a long-lasting finish with floral accents.
