Gravity C2 2012 Scotch Universe - 59,0%

Product information "Gravity C2 2012 Scotch Universe - 59,0%"

The universe – an infinite space full of secrets waiting to be discovered. Michel Reick could hardly have found a more fitting synonym for the diverse world of Scotch whiskies for his brand. With Scotch Universe, he takes us on a flavourful journey – as complex and fascinating as outer space. On the trajectory are distilleries from all regions of Scotland, which offer hand-picked single malts or single grains. Some of them as smoky and stormy as a collision of stars. Others serene and balanced like the dark side of the moon. All named after celestial phenomena.

Spectrums of colour, dazzling light or dense darkness: discovering the Scotch Universe can feel like looking through a telescope into unexplored worlds. And just like these, the brand’s whiskies do not reveal all their secrets. The fact is that they all come from carefully selected, separately bottled casks in Scotland, are neither chill-filtered nor coloured and have a high, cask-strength alcohol content. In addition, the label with coordinates leaves plenty of room for speculation and a spirit of discovery.

The Gravity C2 matured for 151 months (12 years) in a first fill Bordeaux red wine barrique.

1770 Glasgow 2015 Oloroso Sherry #15/137 - 46%, Single Malt from Lowlands, Scotland
1770 Glasgow 2015 Oloroso Sherry #15/137 - 46%

As early as 1770, there was a distillery—called Dundashill—at the site where the Glasgow Distillery stands today; it was one of the first licensed whiskey distilleries at the time. In 2014, Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward, and Ian McDougall decided to revive this piece of history and, as a result, founded the Glasgow Distillery. Today, it is one of the few urban distilleries in Scotland dedicated to whiskey production. With their four pot stills, they currently produce around 440,000 liters of alcohol per year.

1770 Glasgow 2017 Palo Cortado #17/228 - 58,9%

One of the older Glasgow whiskies, a nine-year-old Palo Cortado single cask, steps up in honour of Kirsch's 50th anniversary: The Glasgow 1770 – 2017/2026 pays tribute to Kirsch Import with a rich, fruit-forward profile of crisp apples, orange zest and sweet hedge cherries, along with walnut and espresso. To achieve this, the single malt, old by the distillery's standards, was given a second maturation of more than six years in a sherry cask previously seasoned with Palo Cortado.
