Ardmore 2010 Signatory - 43%

Product information "Ardmore 2010 Signatory - 43%"

Ardmore is a very special Highlander. As a lightly peated malt, it brings both a moderate smoky and a spicy note, here beautifully in harmony with the sherry maturation.

Vintage whiskies from a closed distillery, single malts from rare single casks: Signatory Vintage tracks down exclusive Scotch whiskies for its bottlings. More than 10,000 hogsheads, butts and more are stored in the warehouses of the independent bottler. Signatory releases bottlings from this treasure trove of casks in various series. The orange tubes stand for (entry-level) whiskies at a pleasant drinking strength of 43% vol. Signatory is now discontinuing the series.

Some whiskies wear time like a well-cut tweed jacket: worn, but never worn out. This 1978 Ardmore spent 47 years in a bourbon hogshead before reaching the hands of connoisseurs as one of just 186 bottles. A piece of Scottish history that counts more than just years: it tells of patience, craftsmanship and the special moment when a cask releases its contents.
