Glen Keith
The distillery lies in the small town of Keith on the banks of the little River Isla, directly opposite Strathisla, in Speyside. It was built in 1957 by Chivas Brothers on the site of a former grain mill and was the very first distillery to be newly built since 1900. In 1999 the distillery was closed; since 2013 it has been back in operation under its current owner, Pernod Ricard.
This whisky is a 1996 Glen Keith from the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. This cask was selected by renowned owner Andrew Symington and has notes of gingerbread, malted bread and black molasses on the palate.
