Craigellachie
Craigellachie distillery is located in Speyside. Founded by Peter Mackie among others and built in 1891, the distillery is now owned by Bacardi Martini. During its renovation in 1964 the distillery was expanded to 4 stills. The water no longer comes from the Hill of Little Conval as it once did, but from Blue Hill. During production the vapour is cooled in so-called "worm tubs", spiral-shaped copper pipes. As a result, the new make has little contact with copper during production, which creates a robust flavour.

For this whisky, a first fill Pacherenc barrique (= white wine from south-west France) was used.
