Benrinnes
The Benrinnes distillery, founded in 1835 under the name Lyne of Ruthrie, lies at an altitude of 250 m on the northern slope of the mountain of the same name, in the heart of Speyside. It has one special feature: a wash still whose low wines are split. First they are sent to spirit still No. 2, then to No. 1, and the distillate from that is then distilled once more. This makes it a very special form of triple distillation. Benrinnes draws its water from the Scurran and Rowentree Burns.
