Balmenach
Probably founded around 1824 by James McGregor, the distillery draws its water from the Cromdale Burn. After several closures, production resumed in March 1998. The current owner is Inver House Distillers.
A 12-year-old Balmenach, which was given a sherry finish in a top Oloroso cask. A great drop with nice hints of milk chocolate, cherry juice and light herbs, which was bottled at 46%.
