Glenturret claims to be the oldest distillery in Scotland, like many others do. But this distillery really could be the oldest, because already in 1775 there was existing a distillery on the area the distillery is located today. The distillery has the name Glenturret since 1875. It lays at a quaint place outside of Crieff and next to the River Turret. The water that is used comes from the Loch Turret. The distillery is producing for the Blend 'Famous Gouse'.
