Glenrothes was matured in a sherry hogshead – for a full 18 years. It offers all the splendour of this robust Speyside whisky: notes of sherry and Jaffa cakes on the nose, followed by coffee with milk, brown sugar, candied ginger and hints of orange, nougat and chocolate on the palate, all presented with a velvety smoothness.
