With a corporate and family history spanning more than 220 years, Majani is not only one of Italy’s oldest chocolate manufacturers, but also a true gem and a bastion of the highest quality. Today, Anna Majani and her son Francesco Mezzadri Majani lead the company as the 6th and 7th generations. “Bean-to-bar” is not just a trendy buzzword here, but a quality principle that has always been put into practice. Twenty different varieties of cocoa are processed here using traditional and professional methods and used in different ways depending on the recipe.
Throughout the company’s incredibly long history, it has collected countless prizes, medals, awards, and honorary titles, all of which have consistently reflected and recognized its unwavering commitment to innovation and its strong focus on quality. Along the way, it has repeatedly set defining milestones. In 1832, the Sfoglia Nera became Italy’s first solid chocolate; in 1911, the Cremino Fiat was introduced as a clever marketing idea to coincide with the launch of the Fiat Tipo 4.
