Tobermory 21-Year-Old Oloroso Finish - 46.3%

Product information "Tobermory 21-Year-Old Oloroso Finish - 46.3%"

The Tobermory Distillery, founded in 1798, is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull and has a rich and eventful history. As the oldest member of the core lineup, this 21-year-old single malt marks a milestone in the art of distillation. After a long initial maturation period in refill casks, the distillate was transferred to premium Oloroso sherry casks in 2015. This additional maturation over several years gives the whisky its deep amber color and complex structure, while the bottling at 46.3% ABV—without chill filtration or added colorants—preserves the authentic character of the Isle of Mull region.

On the nose, a multifaceted bouquet unfolds, carried by notes of sweet marzipan, toasted hazelnuts, and dark syrup, complemented by a hint of fine furniture polish. On the palate, the whiskey is full-bodied and well-balanced; here, notes of cherry wood and brown sugar meet the exotic fruitiness of caramelized pineapple. Despite its advanced age, the finish surprises with a pleasant lightness, accompanied by a long-lasting, gentle sweetness.
