This 14-year-old Macduff was bottled for Brave New Spirits’ Cask Masters series. First-fill Oloroso sherry cask #900350 yielded 208 bottles. On the nose, the influence of the sherry cask is reflected in notes of plums and raisins, accompanied by smooth, melting chocolate, a hint of caramel, and refined oak notes.

The distillery was founded in 1962. It is located on the opposite side of the Deveron River of the Banff Distillery. The whisky that is produced here has the name Deveron, under the name Macduff there only exist independent bottlings. The distillery belongs to the Bacardi concern.
