Ardnamurchan 10 Years AD/10 – 50%

This release is a limited-edition whiskey from the Ardnamurchan Distillery that was finished for over a year in Champagne Paul Launois barriques and bottled at 50%. The total production is limited to 15,000 bottles.

Tasting notes:
Nose: The nose opens with an overtly tropical bouquet, replete with ripe mangoes, pineapple cubes, and plenty of honey. There are notes of baked bananas, brown sugar, figs, and wine gums. As it opens up, we delve a little deeper into darker notes of crème caramel, toffee, and meringues with white chocolate.
Palate: Oh, hello there, waxiness! The honey theme continues, complemented by linseed oil, warming spices, gingerbread, fresh pineapple, and cedar. Oily, waxy, and showing great depth!
