Glenmorangie 16-Year-Old Nectar D'or - 46%

Product information "Glenmorangie 16-Year-Old Nectar D'or - 46%"

In the northern Highlands, Scotland’s highest stills produce particularly delicate and floral distillates. This single malt first spent many years in ex-Bourbon barrels before acquiring its characteristic depth through an elaborate finish in hand-selected sweet wine casks. The influences of Sauternes and Moscatel wines lend this 16-year-old whisky an aromatic richness that is preserved in its purest form by the absence of chill filtration and artificial colorings.

The eye is delighted by a rich golden hue, while the nose immediately evokes a visit to a French pastry shop. Intense aromas of crisply baked brioche, ripe apricots, and toasted almonds blend harmoniously with a subtle hint of chestnuts. On the palate, a full-bodied structure unfolds with nuances of raisin bread and vanilla pudding, elegantly rounded out in the long-lasting finish by a hint of lemon zest and honeycomb.

Glenmorangie 1999 Rare Cask #9 - 44,8%

Glenmorangie started producing in 1843 in an reconstructed brewery. In 1887 the distillery was completely new constructed. It is located in the northern Highlands in Tain. Stories tell that its whisky has never been sold for making blends. There used to be an old rule that claimed that there should always be sixteen men in the distillery making the whisky. This is why the distillery is also known under the name ' The sixteen men of Tain'. Glenmorangie even has own forests where it gets its wood for the casks from. Therefore it has a big impact on the development of using different wood and cask types during making whisky. Today the distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.

Glenmorangie 12 Years Palo Cortado Finish - 46%, Single Malt from Highlands, Scotland
Glenmorangie 12 Years Palo Cortado Finish - 46%

The whisky matures for the longest time of its twelve years in bourbon barrels (= 8 years) before it receives a finish in Palo Cortado sherry barrels (= 4 years). The special feature of the maturation are the Palo Cortado casks, whose former content is one of the rarest sherry varieties. This Glenmorangie is also the first bottling of the distillery from these Palo Cortado casks. The taste alternates the typically sweet and spicy flavours of a Glenmorangie. The finish is particularly striking and a great strength of this whisky. The finish is extremely long-lasting, graceful and is accompanied by an elegant nuttiness.

Glenmorangie "A Tale of Winter" - 46%, Single Malt from Highlands, Scotland
Glenmorangie "A Tale of Winter" - 46%

This bottling from Glenmorangie is absolutely unique. The malt was dried over botanicals during the production of the whisky. This method resulted in a lively and peppery single malt with aromas of pine, mint, eucalyptus and bitter oranges, accompanied by bittersweet notes and some wood smoke. The illustrator Pomme Chan was commissioned to design the bottle and outer packaging. Thus, a fantasy forest was also created on the packaging, which perfectly underscores the aromas of the whisky.
