This first release fully encapsulates the signature maritime and tropical fruit nuances that have always defined Glen Scotia. The exclusive maturation in first-fill ex-bourbon casks – A personal favorite of our master distiller – offers robust oils, juicy peaches, melted brown sugar, crisp green apple, and long warming oak spice finish. It’s a style as enduring as our distillery.

This Glen Scotia 2015 was finished for almost 5 years in a First Fill PX Sherry Hogshead. This Campbeltown single malt was bottled at 54.0%.Original Tasting Notes Dark rum soaked figs and sticky cola cubes are followed by syrupy, stewed, black plums. Earthy dark chocolate and bitter walnuts are balanced with sticky gingerbread, cinnamon and clove.

Then there is a vanilla fudge sweetness and earthy black chocolate before lingering oak spice.
