The Glen Scotia Double Cask Rum Finish is a unique malt in the maritime Glen Scotia style with fruity notes that take you on a journey to the Caribbean. The finish in Guyana Demerara rum casks gives it an exotic and tropical aroma. The full-bodied single malt Scotch whiskey was matured in the best American oak casks. Notes of caramelized sugar and tropical fruits characterize the expressive dram.
Records from 1815 show that even before Glen Scotia was founded, rum casks were traded in the globally networked port of the Victorian city of Campbeltown. This past inspired Glen Scotia today to the new Double Cask with Rum Cask Finish.

This Glen Scotia 2015 was finished for almost 5 years in a First Fill PX Sherry Hogshead. This Campbeltown single malt was bottled at 54.0%.Original Tasting Notes Dark rum soaked figs and sticky cola cubes are followed by syrupy, stewed, black plums. Earthy dark chocolate and bitter walnuts are balanced with sticky gingerbread, cinnamon and clove.
