This limited bottling was bottled on the occasion of the Glen Scotia Distillery’s “Distillery of the Year 2021” award. The whisky dates from 1999, the first year of production after the reopening of the distillery. It matured for over 22 years in a first fill bourbon cask and was bottled at 54.8%.

This Glen Scotia 2015 was finished for almost 5 years in a First Fill PX Sherry Hogshead. This Campbeltown single malt was bottled at 54.0%.Original Tasting Notes Dark rum soaked figs and sticky cola cubes are followed by syrupy, stewed, black plums. Earthy dark chocolate and bitter walnuts are balanced with sticky gingerbread, cinnamon and clove.

Wisps of sweet peat are balanced by whipped cream and orange zest before warming oak spice.

Then there is a vanilla fudge sweetness and earthy black chocolate before lingering oak spice.
