The Benromach Distillery is located on the northern edge of the small town of Forrest in the Highlands. It was built in 1898 during the whiskey boom and closed again immediately after its completion. Over the course of its history, it changed names frequently and was closed and reopened several times. This 22-year-old Benromach was blended from bourbon and sherry casks and bottled exclusively by the Wu Dram Clan. The bottling is limited to 1,076 bottles at 55.0% ABV. Tasting Notes: “Vanilla pod and green apple aromas with fresh lemon zest. Sultana and smooth milk chocolate and hazelnut flavors give way to subtle smoke.”

This Benromach 2009 from first fill Sassicaia cask number 584 was bottled exclusively for Kirsch Import. The whisky spent its entire 16 years of maturation in a first fill Sassicaia wine cask and was bottled at 58,4%. „Stewed red fruit aromas with cinnamon and Seville orange followed by soft smoke.“
