In 1930, Mr Benson and Colonel Dickson joined forces to open an exclusive confectioner's in elegant central London. It all began with chocolate. The two gentlemen bought only the best cocoa beans from around the world to make chocolate with a cocoa content of 95%. This intense chocolate was meant to be the perfect contrast to peppermint.
