]]> Mortlach is th oldest distillery in Dufftown, which is the centre of the Speyside. It was founded in 1823 at the riverside of the Dullon. The whisky is produced in a special way, passing six different spirit stills.

The full-bodied characteristics of Amarone unfold in a limited-edition small batch. This follows in the footsteps of the special 2025 bottling released to mark the distillery’s 200th anniversary. At its ideal drinking strength, the opulent Highlander delights connoisseurs with velvety layers of dark berries, ripe black cherries, and warming spice.

]]> The distillery is located a few miles west of Pitlochry, near Moulin, and is part of the Highlands whisky region. It was likely founded in 1825 and is the only Scottish distillery that has been preserved entirely in the style of a farmhouse distillery. As a result, it was also Scotland’s smallest distillery for a long time. The two stills produced just 15 barrels per week. Today’s production capacity stands at around 500,000 liters of pure alcohol per year, following the completion of an expansion of the distillery in February 2018.

The cask was allowed to mature for a full 19 years, an impressive 14 of which were spent in the tropical climate of Jamaica itself. It is precisely this long maturation at its place of origin that ensures tremendous concentration, intense fruit aromas and remarkable depth.

In the glass, the rum is complex and expressive: ripe mango, passion fruit, melon and gooseberries combine with elegant esters, subtle spice and that characteristic Jamaican vigour. Despite its intense cask strength, the rum remains astonishingly balanced and lively.

It offers all the splendour of this robust Speyside whisky: notes of sherry and Jaffa cakes on the nose, followed by coffee with milk, brown sugar, candied ginger and hints of orange, nougat and chocolate on the palate, all presented with a velvety smoothness.

]]> Glenrothes was founded by William Grant & Co. In 1878 and is located in the Speyside in the area of Rothes. A fire destroyed warehouse number one and the 2.000 stored casks on the 15th May in 1922. The burning whiksy was flowing down the Burn of Rothes admist through the village.

]]> The Islay distillery Bruichladdich, whose name means “beach corner”, was built in 1881 by the Harley brothers. After the distillery had been closed for some time, it was announced on 20 December 2000 that it would soon be back in operation. The first new make flowed from the stills in May 2001. Bruichladdich’s success is closely linked to the work of one of the most important men in the Scottish whisky scene – Jim McEwan.

]]> The Glen Moray distillery is located in the Speyside and was built by the Glen Moray Glenlivet Distillery Co. Ltd in 1897. It is the only distillery at the shore of the Lossie, where it also gets its water from. The name Glen Moray means as much as ‘valley of the village at the lake’.

The ex-Bourbon cask yielded only 244 bottles—at a natural cask strength of 59.5%. Anyone familiar with Foursquare knows what to expect:
Typical aromas such as vanilla, caramel, tropical fruits, spicy oak, toffee, chocolate, raisins, and nuts—all embedded in a wonderfully balanced, tropical profile.

As with all releases in the Mask Series, a hand-drawn mask adorns the label—inspired by the indigenous cultures of the Caribbean. The artist DEE MIGHT dedicates extensive research and meticulous design to each mask. The mask for Barbados reflects the origin, pride, and history of this rum.
