"Here we present an exceptional Speyside single cask: aged for 20 years in sherry puncheon #3102, bottled at a robust 53.2% ABV, and limited to just 291 bottles. Founded in 1897 on the banks of the River Spey, the Tamdhu Distillery is renowned—perhaps more than any other—for whisky matured exclusively in sherry casks. While many whiskies use sherry casks merely for a final finishing period, full maturation in sherry casks has always been central to Tamdhu’s identity. This Tamdhu was distilled in 2006—prior to the distillery's temporary closure in 2010—making it a rare snapshot from an earlier era of production. The whisky spent its entire 20-year maturation period in a single sherry puncheon. This long, uninterrupted aging process has imbued it with intense sherry sweetness and complex notes of red berries, marzipan, Christmas spices, and nougat. Powerful yet refined, the whisky combines subtle herbal notes and a smooth oak influence to achieve both rich depth and elegant balance. No mere sherry finish here, but 20 years of full maturation in a single sherry cask—yielding just 291 bottles from puncheon #3102."

Ballechin represents the smoky soul of Edradour, one of Scotland’s smallest traditional distilleries. With a phenol content of at least 50 ppm, this spirit was distilled in February 2006 and matured for a full 20 years in a rare 1st-fill Moscato Passito hogshead. The selection of cask number 801 by the renowned bottler Signatory Vintage is a stroke of curatorial genius: the wood influence of a luscious dessert wine meets the powerful texture of a Highland malt. It was bottled in March 2026 at a natural cask strength of 53.8% ABV—naturally without chill-filtration and with its natural color intact.

Savanna Art of Rum by Xandro 2025 – 57%

On the shores of the Indian Ocean, at the foot of the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, the Savanna distillery is at home. Rum has been produced by hand here in the French overseas department and sugar cane paradise of La Réunion since the 19th century. However, the distillery and its exquisite bottlings as we know them today go back to Émile Hugot. Internationally known as “Monsieur Sucre”, he led Savanna into the future from the 1950s onwards with extensive expertise in the field of sugar.

At the heart of Savanna is high quality Rhum Agricole, Rhum traditionnel and Grand Arôme Rum, which the distillery is one of the few in the world to produce. The full-bodied molasses rum ferments extensively and develops a high ester content, similar to typical Jamaican rums. Unusually for distilleries in the French overseas departments, Savanna processes both fresh sugar cane juice and molasses in column and pot still – and only between July and November.

Free of any additives and not chill-filtered, Savanna rums reveal multi-faceted, authentic flavours that bear witness to the wild beauty of the island.

Croftengea 2006 MoS 26009 Mini – 54,2%

This 2006 Croftengea is one of the Loch Lomond Distillery’s smokier expressions. It was matured in a refill sherry hogshead.

Original tasting notes:
Nose: fruity, light smoke, raisins, spicy honey cake, dried figs, sourdough bread, Demerara sugar
Palate: soft & round, smooth, subtle smoke, damp earth, slight saltiness, pebbles, light nutty notes

Glenfarclas 2006 Family Cask Summer 2024 – 61,4%

We have a pretty amicable friendship with the distillery Glenfarclas and especially with George Grant.
Glenfarclas means as much ‘valley of the green grassland’. It was built in 1836 by Robert Hay and bought by John Grant in 1865. Until today it still is owned by the family Grant. The family brings out standard bottlings as well as outstanding special bottlings with foresight and continuity. We had the great chance to choose several casks personally and do our own bottlings. Since 2006 George Grants visits in Itzehoe are one of our highlights we experienced. The mainly used Oloroso Sherry Casks give the whisky its character, that is pretty special and appreciated by whisky experts in the whole world.

Tomatin 2006 Moscatel Casks – 46%

Already in the 15th century there were cattlemen who settled down at the place in the Highlands in Tomatin, were the distillery is standing nowadays. It was legalized in 1897. Today the A9 connecting Perth and Inverness is near the distillery, which belongs to the biggest ones in Scotland. Most part of the produced whisky is used for making Blends.

The distillery was founded in 1965 and is located at the compound of a former printing house in the Highlands. It lays in an industry area of Alexandria at the southern edge of the Loch Lomond. The distillery is the only distillery that can offer a Single Blend, because there is a grain distillery at the compound as well.

Miltonduff, also called Milton Duff or Milton-Duff was founded in 1824 in Elgin. It is located on the area of a monastery and was rebuilt in 1895. It was renovated in 1974 and 1999 and has two stills since then which are used for producing the whisky Mosstowie. The water the distillery uses comes from the Black Burn. The whisky from Miltonduff is one of the main ingredients of the Ballantines Blends.
