]]> The name Longmorn means as much as ‘place of the holy man’. It is located in the Speyside, 4 kilometres south of Elgin. Before it was founded in 1894/5 by John Duff there was existing a church and after that a mill for three decades at the same place. Nowadays the distillery has eight stills. Longmorn is one of the main ingredients of th Blend Chivas Regal and is part of the Pernod Ricard Group as well.

This series of single casks, lovingly treasured over the decades by the descendants of William Grant, takes us on a captivating journey through the ages. In 2024, 11 releases were personally hand-picked by Brian Kinsman: One of them exclusively for Germany from the historically significant year of 1990 is an exquisite refill barrel from which 146 bottles were bottled after 33 years.
The whisky impresses with a fragrant and silky mouthfeel, characterised by rich oak notes and a buttery sweetness. The Archive Collection offers a unique insight into the history and tradition of Glenfiddich.

]]> The Glenfiddich was the first one that had ever been bottled and offered a Single Malt (1963). The distillery that was built by William Grant and his family in 1886 still is still owned by the family. The water that is used still comes from the Robbie Dubh Quelle. The company also owns the distilleries Balvenie, Kininvie and the Grain Destille Girvan.

]]> The Rosebank Distillery was founded in Falkirk in 1840. The malt house was part of the former Camelon Distillery and was closed in 1968. The distillery had been dormant since 1993 and reopened almost 30 years later, with the first New Make flowing again in June 2023.

The whisky was bottled on the occasion of the coronation of King Charles III.

Official Tasting Note:

This light gold-coloured whisky is beatifully complex on the nose with gentle Islay peat, sea-spray, medicinal notes, lemon zest and leather notes. Beach bonfire, seaweed, more citrus and wonderfully delcate Islay peat notes on the palate, leading into a long, lingering satisfying finish.

]]> Laphroaig means as much as ‘valley at the big white bay’ and was founded by Donald and Alex Johnston in 1826. It is located at the southern shore of Islay. The whisky is famous for its smokey-phenolic, iodine-containing and salty character. Laphroaig has its own peat fields – which can be reached by the shortest railway of the world – and also has own malting floors.

]]> There already existed a distillery named Aberlour in 1826. Nevertheless on the bottles the year 1897 is stated as founding year of the distillery. It is located in the heart of the Speyside next to the Ben Rinnes River. Since 1974 the distillery is owned by the concern Pernod Ricard and is guided by their subsidiary. Since 1973 Aberlour owns four stills.
