For many years, FERRAND has maintained close ties with the finest distilleries in the Caribbean, which in the past purchased used FERRAND casks. It was in these casks that the rum was matured. Through this collaboration, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover various aged spirits with an impressive variety of flavours. He was so impressed by the quality that he decided to bring these exceptional rums to market.

The PLANTATION range – now renamed PLANTERAY – was born.
Each rum is produced according to the traditional methods of its country of origin, allowing it to impressively express the full potential of its homeland.

Black Tot Master Blenders Reserve 2025 – 54,5%

Until July 31 1970, it was normal for every seafarer in the British Navy to get a daily ration of rum. On ththis day this ritual ended so this day is known as Black Tot day. The history of Black Tot rum started 11 years ago when bottles of traditional Navy rum were discovered in an English marina. The bottles contained rums from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados, which therefore have not been touched for more than 40 years. In 2011 these bottles of the historic rum were rebottled and launched on the market as “Black Tot The Last Consigment”. The new rum – simply “Black Tot” – pays homage to the moment that changed everything. However, the Black Tot is a creation for modern rum connoisseurs! The traditional Caribbean style was used to create a recipe that contains the natural fruit flavors of Barbados, added depth through the full-bodied Guyana rums and intertwined with the vibrancy of the Jamaican rums. The new Black Tot is a complex rum that knows how to stand out from other rums. An enjoyable, repeatable taste experience – a rum you will never forget!

"The roots of rum lie in the 17th century in Central and South America, where sugar cane was cultivated mainly on the Caribbean islands after the introduction of Columbus. Rum is distilled from the fermented mash of sugar cane, sugar cane juice and water and traditionally stored in oak barrels. The tannins present in the wood give the rum a light vanilla flavour, a slightly smoky aroma and a wealth of taste nuances."

This set contains:

1st Barbados Rum XO - 40% (= This rum is a blend of two old Barbados rums with a French oak barrel finish. Softness and fullness, fine vanilla notes are characteristic for this rum).

2nd Guyana Rum 2011 - 40% (= Strong fruity from the Diamond Distillery. Lots of spice, fine caramel notes and nutmeg).

3rd Wajos Premium Rum - Edition 1 - 40% (= This rum is a blend of Guyana, Trinidad and Barbardos. This creation brings the positive aspects of all regions in harmony. Strong fruity in the nose, fresh coffee beans and coconut on the palate. Lots of vanilla in the foreground).
