This 2005 Benromach was bottled to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import.

An authentic expression of the Speyside tradition: This single malt was distilled on June 6, 2005, and matured for a full 21 years in a select first-fill bourbon barrel. At Benromach, the process is still carried out by hand today, from the manual filling of the casks to storage in the classic dunnage warehouses. This exclusive single-cask bottling was released on July 13, 2026, to mark the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. With a strictly limited run of just 178 bottles worldwide, this masterpiece of Scottish distilling is a rare opportunity for connoisseurs.

The liquid in the glass shimmers in an elegant pale gold, completely natural and unfiltered at cold temperatures. The bouquet is characterized by fragrant Seville oranges, which blend with ripe tropical fruits and a subtle hint of black pepper. On the palate, the power of the 57.5% ABV unfolds in a balanced composition of juicy citrus notes, creamy vanilla, and the house’s signature, very subtle smokiness. The finish is long-lasting and dry, with the influences of American oak and a hint of residual spice leaving a lasting impression.

The Dalmore distillery is located very isolated at the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth in the northern Highlands. It was founded in 1893. The distillery started using sherry casks very early, which gives the whisky a soft sweetness additional to the smokey and dry malt. Richard Patterson and David Robertson are two important men of the whisky industrie who work for Dalmore.

The distillery is a few miles west of Pitlochry at Moulin and is part of the Highland whiskey region. Believed to have been founded in 1825, it is the only Scottish distillery that still retains its farmhouse style. It was also the smallest distillery in Scotland for a long time. The two stills produced just 15 casks per week. Today’s production capacity is around 500,000 liters of pure alcohol per year after an expansion of the distillery was put into operation in February 2018. Since the original Ballechin distillery no longer exists, the peated version of the Edradour is offered under this name.

The Bunnahabhain distillery is located at the kyle of Islay at the edge of the island in the northeast and lays that isolated, that there had to be constructed a long and curvy street down to the sea as it was built in 1881.The water that is used has its origin in an underground spring from the river Margadale and therefore it comes from Islay it has a relatively low concentration of peat. Until 2003 it was owned by an descendant of the founder, Highland Distillers. Nowadays it is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.

After 190 years, Torabhaig is the first distillery on the Isle of Skye to produce a new single malt after the Talisker Distillery. It was built by the independent bottler Mossburn Distillers from the ruins of an old farmhouse. For this purpose, stones from the nearby Camus castle ruins were also used. The first spirit in the distillery flowed in 2017 and the first single malt was brought onto the market in 2021.

The brothers developed their passion for whisky in their parents' hotel business: At Dornoch Castle, they established a whisky bar renowned far beyond the Highlands. As independent bottlers, they linked their name to hand-picked bottlings. The Torabhaig 2018/2025 is an exclusive bottling for the German market. This rare single cask originated on the coast of the Isle of Skye, where Torabhaig has been distilling its classic smoky island malt since 2017. As one of the distillery's oldest whiskies, it matured for seven years in a first-fill bourbon barrel.

Glen Scotia 12 Years Bourbon Cask – 46%

The Campbeltown malt was allowed to mature entirely in the finest first-fill bourbon casks. With 12 years of maturation, it highlights the distinctive Campbeltown characteristics and is accompanied by tropical fruit aromas and the distillery's popular maritime notes. Inspired by the blue dunnage warehouse doors, the new age statement is presented in striking royal blue.

This new Glen Scotia 12 Year Old opens with fresh sea air, honey-vanilla nuances, and exotic tropical fruits on the nose. On the palate, harmonious notes of caramelized sugar, spicy citrus fruits, and lively pineapple unfold, balanced by subtly toasted oak and a long-lasting, warming finish.

Clydeside 2018 Bourbon Barrel – 58%

Clydeside ‘Vibrant Stills’ Bourbon Barrel Matured (Cask No. 999) is also from June 2018 and matured throughout in a first fill bourbon barrel. At first glance, this may not be the most spectacular type of cask, but this particular cask was all the more surprising.

According to Distillery Manager Alistair, it is one of the best bourbon barrels he has ever found. The particularly intense flavour that the OZ Tyler Bourbon (a craft bourbon from Kentucky) left behind in the Clydeside Single Malt delighted everyone present at the barrel selection.

The name of the distillery means as much as ‘green valley’ or ‘green grassland’. It is located in the Speyside at the southern shore of the Spey and was founded in 1851 by William Mackenzie. The whisky was completely used for producing blends, mainly for Johnny Walker. Since 1960 the distillery has six instead of four stills.

Old school and innovative: Benromach combines both characteristics under one roof. The small distillery is reviving an almost lost style of peated Speyside whiskeys and at the same time experimenting with single malts outside the usual range for the distillery in its Contrasts series.
With the Benromach Contrasts: High Enzyme 2012/2024, enthusiasts have the rare chance to try a single malt made from enzyme-rich barley. Because: The unpeated barley with a high enzyme content is usually used to make grain whiskey.
The higher enzymatic activity influences the fermentation process and creates a distinctive taste profile. Fresh aromas of lemon candy, green apple and peppermint meet the sweetness of honeycomb and pineapple as well as roasted oak and spicy pepper.
