The great advantage of blended whisky? You are not limited to the character of one distillery, but can enjoy the best characteristics from different distilleries combined. Hardly anyone makes this possible at such a high level as Compass Box. John Glaser and team create textures and flavours that a single whisky often cannot achieve. For their luxury blends, the “whiskymakers” combine high-quality single malt and single grain whiskies from their own cask warehouse in Scotland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
For the Limited Edition Vellichor, Compass Box was able to draw on single malts from one of Scotland’s most famous distilleries: Macallan. The malty-sweet, oily whisky is complemented by fruity, earthy components from Highland Park, a hint of coastal smoke from Caol Ila and heavy, leathery and dark-fruity blend components from sherry casks. Composed in this way, the blended Scotch rarity succeeds in recreating what it is named after: Vellichor, the unique atmosphere of antique shops. Typical for Compass Box, the packaging also matches the contents. Vellichor is delivered in gift packaging designed as a book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":88005,"template":"","meta":[],"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[2264,2851,2204,2170],"product_tag":[],"class_list":["post-88015","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-blended-en","product_cat-independent-bottlers","product_cat-scotland-en","product_cat-whisky-en","pa_bottling_date-januar-2022-en-2","pa_cask_type-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_country-schottland-en-2","pa_destillation_age-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_destillation_date-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_region-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_whisky_bottler-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_whisky_bottler_series-keine-angabe-en-2","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple"],"yoast_head":"\n
