As early as 1770, there was a distillery\u2014called Dundashill\u2014at the site where the Glasgow Distillery stands today; it was one of the first licensed whiskey distilleries at the time.
\nIn 2014, Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward, and Ian McDougall decided to revive this piece of history and, as a result, founded the Glasgow Distillery. Today, it is one of the few urban distilleries in Scotland dedicated to whiskey production. In 2015, Kirsch Import personally selected this special cask. The unpeated single malt matured for ten years in an Oloroso sherry butt before being bottled in 2026 at 46% ABV\u2014without chill filtration or added coloring. The result is a whiskey that combines the clean, fruity character of the Glasgow Distillery with the depth of an Oloroso sherry cask. <\/p>\n
On the nose, notes of ripe cherries, dark chocolate, and espresso unfold, underpinned by a sherry-like sweetness.
