The name Longmorn means as much as ‘place of the holy man’. It is located in the Speyside, 4 kilometres south of Elgin. Before it was founded in 1894/5 by John Duff there was existing a church and after that a mill for three decades at the same place. Nowadays the distillery has eight stills. Longmorn is one of the main ingredients of th Blend Chivas Regal and is part of the Pernod Ricard Group as well.

The story of this single malt began on June 15, 1990, at the renowned Longmorn Distillery in the heart of Speyside. The spirit matured for over 36 years in a single hogshead before being selected by Signatory Vintage on June 25, 2026, for the exclusive “Symington’s Choice” range. This special edition marks the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import, making the whisky a historically significant testament to the art of independent bottling.

In the glass, the whisky displays a warm honey hue, a color derived entirely from its long maturation in wood. The aroma captivates with notes of ripe apples and pears, harmoniously blending with dark raisins and a delicate hint of vanilla. On the palate, it reveals an impressively creamy texture characterized by fruit compote and caramel, while the long, elegant finish is accompanied by dry oak and a subtle touch of sherry.

[2180,10224,3465

post-183370","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-minis-and-samples-en","product_cat-whisky-mini-and-samples","product_cat-whisky-samples-en","pa_bottling_date-25-06-2026","pa_cask_type-hogsheads","pa_country-schottland-en-2","pa_destillation_age-36-en","pa_destillation_date-15-06-1990","pa_region-speyside-en","pa_whisky_bottler-signatory-en","pa_whisky_bottler_series-symingtons-choice-en","first","instock","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
