Velier’s Magnum Series brings together the grand masters of rum with the master photographers of the Magnum press agency. Founded in 1947 by photography greats such as Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, this legendary company brings together some of the best photojournalists in the world.

The second edition of the series pays tribute to American photographer Alex Webb. His vibrant, captivating color images capture random or mysterious moments, often in places marked by sociopolitical tension. Four of them now adorn the authentic Bourbon Cask bottlings for enthusiasts.

At the heart of Savanna is high quality Rhum Agricole, Rhum traditionnel and Grand Arôme Rum, which the distillery is one of the few in the world to produce. The full-bodied molasses rum ferments extensively and develops a high ester content, similar to typical Jamaican rums. Unusually for distilleries in the French overseas departments, Savanna processes both fresh sugar cane juice and molasses in column and pot still – and only between July and November.

Free of any additives and not chill-filtered, Savanna rums reveal multi-faceted, authentic flavours that bear witness to the wild beauty of the island.

If you are looking for an outstanding example of AOC-certified Rhum Agricole, you will find it in the Saint James 12 y.o. The blend of two rums from the 2003 and 2010 vintages was distilled in Martinique from sugar cane juice in a Creole column. The result? Original notes of honey, ointment, curry and cocoa powder. The photo on the label takes you back to 1988 on the island of Saint Lucia.

[10341,10333,8336,2232,10240,10239,13045,10301

post-168251","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-caribbean","product_cat-french","product_cat-offers","product_cat-rum-en","product_cat-rum-according-to-style","product_cat-rum-by-country","product_cat-rum-sale-en","product_cat-sale","pa_bottling_date-2024-en","pa_cask_type-bourbon-cask-en","pa_country-martinique-en-2","pa_destillation_age-12-en","pa_destillation_date-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_region-keine-angabe-en-2","pa_whisky_bottler-habitation-velier-en","pa_whisky_bottler_series-magnum-series-2-en","first","instock","sale","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
