A privately run business, it was established in this remote location partly because of the founders&#8217; deep connection with the island and affection for its inhabitants. As the only distillery on the island, it rises above the small harbour of Tarbert and represents the spirit of the island to anyone who comes to Harris by land or sea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div>Scotland is no longer just the home of whisky.
