Already in 1770 there was a distillery at the current location of the Glasgow distillery, called Dundashill, which was then one of the first licensed whisky distilleries. In 2014, Liam Hughes, Mike Hayward and Ian McDougall decided to revive this piece of history and founded the Glasgow Destillery. It is now one of the few urban distilleries in Scotland dedicated to whisky production.
