Under the brand WillowBurn – The Classic Hercynian Single Malt, the team of the Hercynian Distilling Co. brings together particularly spicy, slightly smoky whiskies based on a blend of light, non-smoky malt and smoked malt (25 to 50 per cent smoked over peat or wood). The 5-year-old single malt from the Exceptional Collection was allowed to mature from the first to the last day in First Fill Sherry Octaves with a capacity of only 50-70 litres. These were previously filled with Pedro Ximénez sherry, the sweetest of the sweet wines, lovely cream and fruity Palo Cortado sherry. Its very round aromas such as malt, roasted almonds, orange marmalade and dark chocolate can be enjoyed by connoisseurs at 55.7 % vol. Cask Strength. In the high-quality wooden box, the WillowBurn is suitable for connoisseurs and collectors alike.
