The whiskey matured for a total of 11 years in a 1st fill Sauternes Hogshead and was bottled at a cask strength of 56.5%.

]]> Since Glengassaugh was built in 1875 it was not used for more than half of the time. It is located in the Highlands, next to the sea between the Spey and the Deveron near to Porstsoy. The water that is used comes from the Glenglassaugh.

]]> Glenrothes was founded by William Grant & Co. In 1878 and is located in the Speyside in the area of Rothes. A fire destroyed warehouse number one and the 2.000 stored casks on the 15th May in 1922. The burning whiksy was flowing down the Burn of Rothes admist through the village.
