]]> The distillery lays at the bottom of the Ben Nevis, the highest mountain of Scotland, located at the Western Highlands next to Fort William. It was built 1825 by John McDonald, a descendant of the Lord of the Isles. Between 1984 and 1990 the production was stopped, after Nikka took over the company the production continued one year later. The water for Ben Nevis comes from the Allt A Mhullin Burn.

]]> The distillery was founded in 1824 by John Beith & Co and is located in Campbeltown. Single buildings still are existing and still are used by the Springbank distillery today. A twice peated whisky is released under the name Longrow since 1985. Additional the three times peated whisky with the name Hazelburn is released as well.

]]> The Bunnahabhain distillery is located at the kyle of Islay at the edge of the island in the northeast and lays that isolated, that there had to be constructed a long and curvy street down to the sea as it was built in 1881.The water that is used has its origin in an underground spring from the river Margadale and therefore it comes from Islay it has a relatively low concentration of peat.
Until 2003 it was owned by an descendant of the founder, Highland Distillers. Nowadays it is owned by Burn Stewart Distillers.
