Due to its 21 years, the notes of brown sugar or even acai blossoms are particularly pronounced.

Each whisky in this series is available as a single cask at cask strength, unfiltered and uncoloured. The maturation of this whisky takes place in a First Fill Sherry Hogshead. In this case, the sherry is Pedro Ximenez. The whisky is characterised by lots of toffee, créme brûlée, candy floss or biscuits. A must for every friend of sherry cask maturations.

]]> The distillery was founded in 1962. It is located on the opposite side of the Deveron River of the Banff Distillery. The whisky that is produced here has the name Deveron, under the name Macduff there only exist independent bottlings. The distillery belongs to the Bacardi concern.

As with our own bottling (see here), the combination of the moderate smokiness of an Ardmore with the maturation in a former Islay cask proves to be extremely exciting and complex. Especially the finish is long-lasting and aromatic. In addition, a maritime base note pairs with a campfire on the beach & roasted scallops.

]]> The distillery Ardmore is located south of Huntley in Kennethmont next to the railway that connects Aberdeen and Inverness. Sometimes it is stated that it lays in the Speyside and other times in the eastern Highlands. It was built in 1890 by the company Wm Teacher and Sons. Since 1978 Ardmore owns eight stills. Compared to other distilleries the history of this one was without any troubles. It was property of the founders for a long time, since 2005 it belongs to Jim Beam.

The whisky is matured for the entire time in a bourbon hogshead, which is why nuances of soft marzipan, stewed apples and a pleasant vanilla are present or can be discovered in the whisky.

]]> The distillery was founded in 1965 and is located at the compound of a former printing house in the Highlands. It lays in an industry area of Alexandria at the southern edge of the Loch Lomond. The distillery is the only distillery that can offer a Single Blend, because there is a grain distillery at the compound as well.

The combination of 13 years Glenlossie and 1st Fill Amontillado Sherry seems to be an excellent composition. Peach pears, gooseberry jam and the finest Viennese pastry make this whisky a special taste experience.

]]> Glenlossie was built in 1876 by John Duff in the Speyside in Birnie near to Elgin. Next to it there is the Mannochmore Distillery, which also uses the water from the Bardon Burn in the Mannochmore Hills.

]]> The Glen Moray distillery is located in the Speyside and was built by the Glen Moray Glenlivet Distillery Co. Ltd in 1897. It is the only distillery at the shore of the Lossie, where it also gets its water from. The name Glen Moray means as much as ‘valley of the village at the lake’.

Each whisky in this series is available as a single cask at cask strength, unfiltered and uncoloured. For this whisky, a first fill Pacherenc barrique (= white wine from southwest France) was used. Thus, diverse and complex aromas of nutty muesli, roasted pineapple and dried straw can be detected.

]]> The Craigellachie distillery is in Speyside. Once founded by Peter Mackie, among others, the distillery, which was built in 1891, is now owned by the Bacardi Martini Group. During the renovation in 1964 the distillery was expanded to 4 stills. The water no longer comes from the Hill of Little Conval as it used to, but from Blue Hill. During production, the steam is cooled down by so-called “worm tubs” – spiral-shaped copper tubes. Due to this process, the new make has little contact with copper during production, which creates a strong taste.
