The whisky is part of a cuvée from Caol Ila, which was previously aged for at least 10 years in a PX sherry cask and an Oloroso sherry cask. The whisky was bottled at 49.7% ABV.

The aroma of this Islay whisky is captivating, with salty, lemony, and maritime notes. On the palate, it is pleasantly mild with delicate iodine smoky notes. The finish is mouth-filling and long-lasting.

]]> The distillery is located north of Port Askaig on the isle Islay directly at the kyle of Islay. From the distillery you have a wonderful view of the isle Jura. It was built in 1846 and since 1974 it has a completely new stillhouse with six stills. It is owned by Diageo and can be mentioned as a good example for a ‘working house’ that mainly produces for blends for Johnnie Walker.

"There are numerous myths, stories and probably even some legends about the "SC Jamaica Blend". Whether it is actually rum from Hampden Estate or comes from various distilleries on the Caribbean Dreadlock Island remains unclear. It is also uncertain whether Whether it is pure pot still rum or a Wedderburn and Plummer style blend, we will probably never know the full truth. What we do know is that this blend was created in 2009 for a renowned British brand bottled in a blue bottle and Navy Strength. Imagine if you could pick up one of the first barrels of this blend from this time and bottle the genuine substance at barrel strength. The result is now, together with our trustworthy partner “Flickenschild”. Blended and put into the barrel in 2009 and now bottled in 2024. A legend of Mai Tai in almost perfect form. This is nerdier than nerdy."

With the Dalmunach 2015 we succeeded in bottling one of the first 8-year-old single malts from the young Dalmunach distillery. There are only 86 bottles because we had the remaining whiskey decanted for a subsequent finish. You can look forward to the result in the future!

]]> Dalmunach is a relatively young Speyside distillery in Carron, located on the former Imperial distillery site and part of the Pernod Ricard group. It is likely that much of the production will be used for Chivas Regal blending and that single malts from Dalmunach will tend to be rarer.

At 13 years, it was in the barrel for a little longer and with a total of 271 bottles, almost 50 more bottles of this bottling are available. The alcohol content of Strathmill is still 59.1% after 13 years of maturation.

]]> The distillery was founded in 1891 under the name Glenisla-Glenlivet. It was built out of a mill in the Speyside. It got its actual name four years later and just since 1993 there is existing a Single Malt.

In addition to cooperations with other independent bottlers and original distillery bottlings, the company also repeatedly fills its own casks in Scotland.

After bottling a total of 14 bottlings in the Scottish Roadsign series in recent years, the new "Slainté" series is now starting with three bottlings. Together with Hamburg artist Mats Matthée, a series was created illustrating various Scottish toasts. The first bottlings include two smoky whiskies from the Caol Ila Distillery on the island of Islay and a Speysider from the Auchroisk Distillery.

Tasting notes: Sweet aromas on the nose, caramel, crème brûlée and sweet cereals with hints of orange peel. Pleasantly creamy and oily on the palate - ripe fruit, malty sweetness, caramelised sugar with a long warming mouthfeel. Quite spicy with the nutty notes typical of Auchroisk.
