The Master Distiller produced the Rainforest 2024/2026 using the endemic Mampu sugarcane variety, which is fermented for nine to twelve days with the addition of dunder and muck. Following pot-still distillation, the pure single rum was matured for 20 months in Chardonnay casks – right in the heart of the rainforest. The result is a distinctive character reminiscent of Agricole rum and remarkable expressiveness.

Velier’s Magnum Series brings together the grand masters of rum with the master photographers of the Magnum press agency. Founded in 1947 by photography greats such as Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson, this legendary company brings together some of the best photojournalists in the world.

The second edition of the series pays tribute to American photographer Alex Webb. His vibrant, captivating color images capture random or mysterious moments, often in places marked by sociopolitical tension. Four of them now adorn the authentic Bourbon Cask bottlings for enthusiasts.

At the heart of Savanna is high quality Rhum Agricole, Rhum traditionnel and Grand Arôme Rum, which the distillery is one of the few in the world to produce. The full-bodied molasses rum ferments extensively and develops a high ester content, similar to typical Jamaican rums. Unusually for distilleries in the French overseas departments, Savanna processes both fresh sugar cane juice and molasses in column and pot still – and only between July and November.
