The 15 year old springbank is as dark and fascinating as a huge storm off the coast of Campbeltown with a creamy body, aromas of raisins, dark chocolate, marzipan, nuts and vanilla. This bottling matured 100% in sherry barrels.

Original Tasting Notes:
Nose: Demerara sugar, dark chocolate, Christmas cake, almonds, toffee, oak.
Taste: Creamy, raisins, dark chocolate, figs, marzipan, brazil nuts and vanilla.
Finish: Oak and sherry notes sustain and mingle with hints of leather.

The distillery was founded in 1828 by the family Reid, but already got undertaken by the family Mitchel in 1837, which nowadays still owns it. It is located in Campeltown. The Single Malt is produced using water from the Crosshill Loch and low peated malt. It is distilled two times, a mixture of feints and low wines is distilled a third time. Additional there is produced the Single Malt Longrow (two time distilled, using stronger peated malt) and Hazelburn (three-time distilled, using unpeated malt). None of the whiskys is coloured or cool filtered.
