The classic five types of malt are supplemented by another in the Peated Single Malt: peat malt. This creates a balance between malty and peaty notes. The smell of such a composition is like roasted bananas and freshly flamed orange peel. In the taste, one finds a bouquet of roasted pistachios, green herbs and iodine.

The Westland distillery is located in Seattle, Washington USA. They have consciously decided against the production of bourbon, but for the category of American Single Malt Whiskey. Thus, they founded and lead the ASMW Commission, to which 110 distilleries now belong.
Since its founding in January 2010, the distillery has placed the highest value on quality. Every single malt is made from 100% malted barley. The distillate is only distilled up to 80% vol. Only casks with a maximum capacity of 700 litres are used for maturation.
