Voswald scented candles were inspired by the forests around Quedlinburg. Vos is the Dutch word for fox, and all the inhabitants of the fox forest receive their own scent at Voswald.
All products are manufactured in the factory in the Harz, from rapeseed wax with a small coconut oil content.
Notes on candle safety:
- Our candles should always burn at least until the entire burner plate has become liquid. Otherwise they will start to tunnel, which is not desirable.
- Do not let the candle burn for more than 2 hours at a time. This will help to prevent the fragrance oil from evaporating too quickly. And of course also to prevent the glass from heating up too much, otherwise it could crack.
- Do not leave the burning candle unattended. Logical, right? Oh, and always keep away from children, pets and, most importantly, curtains! In general, just make sure there is nothing flammable nearby.
- It’s best not to place the candle in a draft. Then the candle won’t burn down too quickly and won’t produce soot.
- Let the candle harden before lighting it again.
- If black smoke appears, simply cut off the tip of the wick. Shorten the wick to half a centimeter – that’s enough and you’ll get more out of your candle.
- Always protect the table or surface the candle is standing on (for example with a ceramic bowl). And make sure the candle is standing on a stable surface. And make sure your candles aren’t burning too close together or one below the other.
- Do not let the candle burn down completely. 1 cm of wax is great. Otherwise the glass will heat up too much and may crack.
- Store your candle in a dry, moderately warm environment, between 15 and 26°C.
- Your candle should be used for the first time within two months.
