Unlike most apple vodkas, SQUAMATA is not a flavoured vodka, but gets its gentle aromas exclusively from the elaborate distillation of selected apples.
These are distilled in the first phase of the distillation process on copper stills and then refined into a high-quality vodka made from apples in a distillation plant equipped with the latest distilling technology.
The name SQUAMATA is the name for reptile skin. The newly designed bottle alludes to the seduction in the biblical story with the depiction of an apple and the snake's skin. The green apple presents itself on the new bottle as a paradisiacal fruit, wrapped in an elegant black snakeskin. In reference to the snakeskin, the bottle was designed with a haptic print, so that SQUAMATA entices you to experience the snakeskin structure with your sense of touch as well. Only at second glance, hidden under the snakeskin, do the seduced - Adam and Eve - reveal themselves to the viewer as silhouettes in the apple.

]]> In 1909, the Baden Parliament commissioned the Baden Chamber of Agriculture to start up a training and experimental distillery in Oppenau and to produce a genuine, unadulterated kirsch, to market it and to make it known worldwide. For this speciality, the Kammer designed the square bottle shape that is still considered typical for Black Forest fruit brandies and is still used as a trademark today.
In 1923, Kammer-Kirsch was founded as a joint-stock company and in 1961 it was converted into a limited liability company. The company was based in Oppenau with today’s branch in Karlsruhe. Experts constantly tested and monitored the distillates produced, so that the quality brand name “Kammer-Kirsch” was soon created and has been further developed to this day. The company’s objective of producing only “waters and spirits” of the highest natural purity and exquisiteness has endured to this day.
