Distilled in 2007 from malted barley in copper stills and aged for 12 years in a combination of older and younger small American oak casks that influences the final flavor, color and character. The accelerated interaction between the spirit, the cask and the atmosphere results in a spectacular single malt with depth of flavor, balance and exceptional smoothness. The whiskey is light golden in color and is a special bottling. The distinct smoky, peaty influence is complemented by pepper, dried peaches, citrus, and an earthy note. The finish is warm, creamy and spicy with delicate licorice lingering in the mouth.
