“In today’s Lower Franconia in the idyllic village of 700 souls met the Master Distiller David F. Hynes of Dublin and Andreas Thümmler, the founder and owner of today’s St. Kilian distillery, who was born and raised here. David comes from a long tradition of whiskey and is one of the most successful master distiller in Ireland. Added to this was Mario Rudolf from Amorbach, near Rüdenau. As a successful brew master who has just as Andreas Thümmler collect the whiskey and enjoy prescribed, he learned in the years of David the art of whiskey distillation. It was decided under the direction and guidance of David the largest and most unique whiskey distillery in Germany and build in memory of the holy Kilian from Ireland it the name St.
After more than four years of planning and construction work and considerable investment beginning in 2016, the first Spirit could run through the pot stills of St. Kilian. Under the guidance of David and with the help of Mario, who was the brewer already an expert on the class material treatment, created a unique system with original equipment from Scotland and Ireland. In ancient tradition, the Irish-Scottish method is used for whiskey production. St. Kilian is aimed at first-class premium products in which many collectors and whiskey connoisseurs in Germany and around the world will later find their favor.”
