This Ruadh Mhor (peated Glenturret) was distilled in 2011 and bottled by The Caskhound after more than 12 years of maturation. It was first matured in a bourbon cask and then finished for 324 days in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Quarter Cask. The bottling is limited to only 216 bottles.

Glenturret claims to be the oldest distillery in Scotland, like many others do. But this distillery really could be the oldest, because already in 1775 there was existing a distillery on the area the distillery is located today. The distillery has the name Glenturret since 1875. It lays at a quaint place outside of Crieff and next to the River Turret. The water that is used comes from the Loch Turret. The distillery is producing for the Blend ‘Famous Gouse’.
