Jay Carpenter and Dave Cuttino have been friends since childhood. When they founded their distillery in Richmond, Virginia, in 2008, they had nothing less in mind than to “shake up” the whiskey world. And they definitely succeeded: Reservoir is the name of the small but fine small-batch distillery in which the two now produce award-winning spirits. The term “handmade” can be taken quite literally in this “Virginia Bourbon Distillery of the Year”: One of the foundations of these whiskeys is honest craftsmanship – 100 per cent and at a particularly high level.
With an excellent trio in traditional American style, Reservoir has created exceptional spirits for different preferences. The special feature: For their production, 100 per cent of one type of grain is used in each case – this is unique on the American whiskey market.
