The distillate has a lovely fruity sweetness, complemented by rich, creamy bourbon cask aromas, elegant sherry notes and a delicate smoky note from the quarter casks in which a peaty Islay was previously matured.

This is Wolfburn at its best. An extremely pleasing malt with a complex aroma structure that appears even older and more mature than it already is.

The distillery which is existing today was built in 2011 at the place the old distillery was standing. The old one started producing in 1993. Wolfburn is located in the Northern Highlands in Thurso and gets its water from the same-named river Wolfburn.
