The Westland distillery is located in Seattle, Washington USA. They have consciously decided against the production of bourbon, but for the category of American Single Malt Whiskey. Thus, they founded and lead the ASMW Commission, to which 110 distilleries now belong.
Since its founding in January 2010, the distillery has placed the highest value on quality. Every single malt is made from 100% malted barley. The distillate is only distilled up to 80% vol. Only casks with a maximum capacity of 700 litres are used for maturation.
