At 14 years old, Tobermory reaches a fantastic maturity – regardless of the type of cask. However, it is in red wine casks that the distillery’s full potential unfolds in a special way.
The fruity aromas of orange and candied citrus peel blend harmoniously with the complex notes of red wine, giving the whisky additional depth and complexity. The maturation process creates a rich, almost oily mouthfeel with nuances of blackcurrant jam and fine cocoa.
