Founded in 1798, the distillery has borne both the name Tobermory and Ledaig in its chequered history with many closures. It is located in the town of Tobermory on the island of Mull and thus belongs to the Highlands category. Today, two single malts are produced at the distillery using water from Loch Mishnish: the unpeated Tobermory and the peated Ledaig.
